The trading week from July 3rd to 7th is going to be jam-packed with stocks trading ex-dividend. Some of the major stocks that will turn ex-dividend are Axis Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Adani Enterprises, Mphasis, ACC, Ambuja Cements, L&T Technology Services, and Care Ratings among others. And hence, investors who are looking to be eligible for dividend payouts in one of these stocks will need to keep these important dates in check while trading.
In general terms, dividends are a form of incentive that is distributed by a listed company from their profits in a respective financial year to shareholders.
While the ex-dividend date is the day when the price of the equity shares of a company gets adjusted for the dividend payout. A listed company usually proposes a record date to identify the names of eligible shareholders for dividend benefits. All the shareholders whose name appears in the company’s list by the end of the record date will be eligible to receive dividends.
It also needs to be noted that ex-dividend dates are now the same as record dates due to exchanges’ implementation of s ‘T+1’ settlement type.

2. Balaji Amines (for final dividend of ₹10 per share).
3. Geojit Financial Services (for a final dividend of ₹1.5 per share).
4. Jyothy Labs (for final dividend of ₹3 per share).
July 4th:
On this day, six stocks will turn ex-dividend. These are:
1. Alkyl Amines Chemicals (for a final dividend of ₹10 per share).
2. Agro Tech Foods (for final dividend of ₹3 per share).
3. Motilal Oswal Financial Services (for final dividend of ₹3 per share).
4. Nath Bio-Genes (India) for its final dividend of ₹2 per share.
