Bulk Deals on May 19: HCC, Vishwaraj Sugar, others, exchange hands: check buyers, sellers
Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries saw heavy buying and selling on May 19. According to NSE data, Citadel Securities India Markets Private Limited bought 77,99,802 shares of HCC at an average price of ₹17.15 and sold 25,43,147 shares at an average of ₹17.20.
Atlas Events Private Limited bought 37,93,955 shares of Vishwaraj Sugar at an average price of ₹17.36 and sold 37,93,955 shares at an average of ₹17.66. Bhamini Kamal Parekh also bought 13,89,399 shares of the company at an average price of ₹18.15.
The Indian equity market ended higher Friday led by strong gains in IT, auto and financial stocks amid positive cues from global peers. The Sensex gained 0.48 per cent, or 297.94 points, to end at 61,729.68, while the Nifty ended 0.41 per cent, or 73.45 points, higher at 18,203.40. Broader markets, the midcap and smallcap indices closed flat, underperforming the benchmarks for the day.
